The Fork is a trolling tactic that debuted in November 2017 after Ghost said "Hard Fork" during The Markets segment on Episode 512 of True Capitalist Radio. A hard fork, in techical terms, is a Cryptocurrency event where major changes are made to a coin, forcing the blockchain to fork to a "new" blockchain, with all of the history from the previous blocks imported, but the previous blockchain being obsoleted. This is usually done in an update to the currency in question, in which all people using wallets/nodes must update or else they will not be able to use the technology. Not long after he said that, Fork names started to appear during Gab Shoutouts. Trolls then made splices of splices involving forks in sick sadistic fashion, causing Ghost to be disgusted.
