Iran

Iran, officially the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a country in Southern and Western Asia. Iran is notable for its long Persian history, its then-President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, its pursuit of nuclear energy (and weapons), and its revolutions in the past few years.

Ghost has mentioned Iran numerous times on the True Conservative and Capitalist Radio shows. In June 2009, while he was going through the conservative phase, Iran underwent a series of protests following that year's presidential elections. Ghost claimed to have predicted this so-called 'cyber-revolution', but only brought this up once the Arab Spring of 2011 was fully underway.

Iran is, in Ghost's view, a major contributor to his hypothetical World War III, and also gets mentioned in conjunction with oil prices in the markets. When Ghost came back in 2016, he referenced Iran's controversial nuclear deal that Barack Obama signed as a criticism for the former American president.

Iran became a topic when President Donald Trump and the United States pulled out of the controversial nuclear deal after it expired on May 12, 2018. A couple days before, Israel's air force bombed Iranian and Syrian forces in southern Damascus, killing 15, eight of which were Iranians, as the Israeli forces were targeting Iranian rocket launchers.
