Willard Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007, the official Republican candidate for the 2012 American Presidential Election, and current senator of Utah since 2019. He maintained the largest following even as his competitors Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain lost the majority of theirs.

Ghost referred to Mitt Romney as "Magic Underpants" because of his belief in Mormonism.

Ghost has been critical of Mitt Romney but not as much so as Newt Gingrich or Barack Obama, though Ghost has admitted to being interested in his capital gains tax plan. Ghost ultimately decided officially, in the summer of 2012, to support him over Obama, but like Herman Cain before him, Ghost's endorsement did not equate to victory for Romney, and Obama ultimately won another term as president, much to Ghost's dismay.

Ghost has been critical of Mitt Romney since The Return due to him denouncing Trump and endorsing Gary Johnson for president.
