Newt Gingrich

Newt Gingrich is an American politician and a former Republican candidate for the 2012 presidential election. Ghost of the True Capitalist Radio broadcast has been highly critical of Newt, his past, and his policies.

Ghost often refers to Newt Gingrich as a "scumbag" and a "hambone". When asked what he dislikes about the man, Ghost will usually respond with "Just look up some of the things this man is alleged to have done," referring to his ethics violations while working as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Starting in January 2012 Herman Cain (a candidate for whom Ghost had far more respect) began officially endorsing Newt Gingrich. On May 1st, 2012, Newt Gingrich suspended his own campaign in turn and endorsed Mitt Romney, leaving Romney as the sole frontrunner for the Republican Primary.

Ever since Newt Gingrich endorsed Donald Trump in the 2016 United States election, Ghost has not been as critical of him. In the summer of 2016, he trashed (then) Fox News host Megyn Kelly in an interview, causing Ghost to slowly warm up to him for the first time.
