“Hey, Ghost, I'm getting a fleshlight made, can you send me a mold of Templeton's butthole?"”—Radio Graffiti Caller (Area Code 678), Episode 233
"Leave my dog alone!"
Templeton is Ghost's dog, named after the rat from Charlotte's Web. He made his debut in TCR during Episode 228, when he caused over 15 minutes of dead air and nearly electrocuted himself to death by biting an electrical plug. Immediately after this, people began trolling Ghost with a ceaseless stream of dog-related Shoutout names and prank calls which has continued since that time.
According to Ghost, Templeton usually sits or lays around him during the progress of a show. He usually cannot be heard, but on Episode 259, he began barking loudly in the background, according to Ghost at some work noise outside. It is not known how Templeton reacts to cans.wav, and he probably just ignores it.
On Episode 333, at one point during the broadcast, Templeton began loudly whining. As Ghost tended to him, Templeton all of a sudden starting gnawing on Ghost's hand, injuring him quite badly and forcing him to (very painfully) disinfect it with some scotch twice. Trolls, of course, very quickly started making fun of this incident by saying that Templeton became a Hillary Clinton supporter, or by pointing out that dogs can naturally identify liars.
Ghost states that Templeton and his wife are the only beings on the planet whom he considers his "friends".
On Episode 377, just before Ghost was going to take a break, Templeton began crying again. After a few minutes, Templeton began showing teeth, growling, and eventually bit Ghost again, causing Ghost to put some scotch on it. Trolls began asking for Templeton's pawprint, with several tweets declaring they were "Team Templeton". After having to pour some alcohol on it again and screaming in pain, several trolls and even serious callers began making fun of Ghost over Twitter.
This incident let to some on-air drama during Episode 379, when Teutonic Plague called in saying that he would kill any dog that tried to attack him multiple times after Asho called in to tell Ghost that Plague blocked him on Twitter for trying to defend Templeton, leading to many people wanting Teutonic banned. On the day Episode 382 aired, Ghost starting selling Templeton autographs in the morning, saying that if fifty of them were sold before Halloween, Teutonic would be banned from TCR, and if fifty sold before the end of the show, Teutonic would be banned live on the air. The autographs managed to reach the goal before the end of Twitter Shoutouts, and Ghost was distraught by the fact that he would have to ban Teutonic (although his attitude on this changed when Plague admitted to being a brony), and was even more upset that people kept buying the autographs. Ghost eventually stopped selling the autographs after Halloween.
On Episode 415, Before Ghost started Radio Graffiti, Templeton defecated on the white carpet of Ghost's rented house. This caused Ghost to rage due to the house being a rental. He then called Stanley Steamer to clean the carpet, costing him $117 for cleaning. This caused Ghost to have no show on Tuesday because of the carpet cleaning.
On Episode 466, Templeton began to fart during the broadcast. Ghost was disgusted by the smell and took a break due to him worrying that Templeton would defecate on the carpet again. After the break, however, Ghost did spray some air freshener, but also farted with Templeton, because Ghost thought Templeton was disagreeing with A Day Without a Woman by farting.
When Templeton was first mentioned on the show in Episode 228, trolls began to make fun of his name, which Ghost took offense at. People then made shoutout names and Radio Graffiti calls related to Templeton, with Ghost usually responding to these by telling people to leave his dog alone.
Whenever there was a Templeton-caused problem on the air, such as him biting Ghost or taking a dump on Ghost's carpet, trolls made shoutout names and/or RG calls relating to them, usually pissing Ghost off. Usually when trolls just make fun of Templeton in general, Ghost tells them to leave his dog alone. Tub Guy, aside from his usual calls, has called in to insult Templeton at least twice, enraging Ghost. Templeton is occasionally used in splices depicting him in various situations, such as taking a crap on the Engineer, getting thrown out of a helicopter along with Ghost by Augusto Pinochet, getting cooked into a turkey, and even a fake EAS warning where he rapes the announcer. Templeton has also been remixed with various songs, including the Soviet National anthem, The Cleveland Show theme, Eminem, the OU Fight Song (Boomer Sooner), and even the Junkyard America theme, all of which have caused cans.wav.
